Ubuntu Developer Summit Being Changed Format Online

Canonical announced that they will change the format of the show Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS) is usually held at a place to be the only event held online.

Not only format are converted to online, while the event is usually held every six months was also changed to every three months.

With this change, the next UDS event will discuss the development of the Ubuntu operating system which is planned to be held at 13:10 Oakland, California in May 2013 had to be canceled.

UDS is a regular event which is an event gathering the developers and the Ubuntu community that aims to discuss the progress and future plans regarding the Ubuntu operating system.

UDS new format will provide greater openness and transparency are more optimized for the participants. "Unlike physical UDS portion of the agenda is recorded in the form of video, each session at UDS online format will be recorded and available on schedule," said a spokesman for Canonical.

Canonical also announced that online UDS inaugural event will take place from May 5 and 6 March from 04.00 to 10.00 local time.

"Canonical will be to see if the event is a success with the format for the next two events and will take a decision whether to continue or not. We hope to see you at UDS online in the inaugural issue next week," Canonical said in its official announcement.
